	A plane is a flat surface that goes on forever in every direction
	Coordinate Plane	Show/Hide
	The coordinate plane is divided by two number lines. One is horizontal X, the other is vertical Y.
	Axes (the plural of axis is axes)	Show/Hide
	The horizontal number line is called the x-axis.
	The vertical number line is called the y-axis.
	Origin	Show/Hide
	The origin is the point where the horizontal x-axis and the vertical y-axis intersect.
	Coordinates	Show/Hide
	Are an ordered set of numbers that define the position of a point. Are always written in parentheses, with the x-value first.
	Ordered pair	Show/Hide
	The x-coordinate is always the first number in the pair and the y-coordinate is always the second number in the pair.	Example: (2,3)
	Quadrants	Show/Hide
	The two number lines divide the plane into four regions, called Quadrants
